Laser Treatments
AvMA Chief Executive, Peter Walsh, said: "It is crazy to deregulate these procedures, which it is known can cause harm. Even Government's own estimates suggest that de-regulation could double the cost to the NHS treating patients injured by laser treatment. But they have not taken account of the human cost or how such a u-turn would damage confidence in the Government's statements on patient safety".
