Senior Lawyers Service Medical Advisor

Moira qualified as a diagnostic radiographer at University College Hospital, London and after eight years as a diagnostic radiographer specialised in nuclear medicine. She worked as a superintendent nuclear medicine radiographer at Hammersmith Hospital, London for many years.

Moira joined AvMA in 2001 as a medical adviser in the Lawyer’s Service Department. She now works part time assisting with solicitor’s enquiries and their requests for medical experts. She helps run and audit the medical expert database and the recruitment of new experts. She has also been involved for most of her time at AvMA in the conference programme, suggesting medical topics and speakers for the one day and annual conferences and the lawyer support group meetings.

In her spare time she enjoys travelling, ballet, music and cinema. She was previously a trustee of the Dystonia Society and is currently a member of their research committee and support services committee.
