Ceri Edwards joined AvMA as a trustee in March 2016. He has worked as Director of Policy and Communications at the Institute of Fundraising since 2012, leading on its policy and communications work: promoting the organisation, its work and reputation and making sure its views, and those of its members, contribute to opinion forming and decision making across the charity sector and beyond.
Ceri is a former BBC political producer, and started his campaigning career – after graduating in Law from New College, Oxford – with human rights group Liberty. He has also worked for the Citizenship Foundation, Action for Children and the BBC Children in Need Appeal. He has held senior communication and policy roles at London Councils, the Local Government Association and the People’s Heath Trust.
He is a former chair and volunteer at London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard; a former trustee of Survivors UK and the Empty Homes Agency; and has volunteered with INQUEST, his local food bank in Vauxhall and as a prison visitor.
