Moi Ali

Moi Ali has worked in communications for three decades, and previous clients have included NHS organisations and the Royal College of Nursing in Scotland. She runs her own consultancy specialising in communications and customer experience and is author of over 20 books for leading publishers – her latest book is Communication Skills for Health and Care Professionals.

She is on the board of the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Care, and is a former lay Vice President of the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She recently completed eight years as a board member of the Scottish Ambulance Service, where she chaired the Clinical Governance Committee. She has held various non-executive director roles in the public sector over the last 20 years, and used to chair a small healthcare social enterprise.

Moi is passionate about openness, transparency and justice. She also cares deeply about patient safety. Being an AvMA trustee allows her to use her own background and experience to promote patient safety and to support an organisation that offers tangible help to patients who have suffered an injustice in healthcare.
