Carol Parsons
Carol has been a supporter of AvMA for a number of years and when, driven by a social conscience and a desire to give something back, she took a decision to look for a charity trustee role earlier this year and AvMA was a natural choice.
She has a strong personal interest in ensuring justice for people who have suffered avoidable harm in healthcare, not just as a solicitor and now Head of ATE at a major legal expense insurance company, but also from her own personal experience.
As a qualified, and now non-practising solicitor, her career has spanned both the legal and financial services sectors and in her current role she leads a team of people dedicated to supporting access to justice. With experience of managing large operations, she brings a range of operational management skills to her role as Trustee.
Carol is delighted to join AvMA and is looking forward to contributing to improving outcomes for those who have suffered medical harm.
