Event: Patients Speaking up for Patient Safety

September 17 marks the first World Health Organisation’s World Patient Safety Day. To mark this important date, AvMA will be holding a free event celebrating the role of patients and families in patient safety.

Speakers include the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP, former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care; Shaun Lintern from the Health Service Journal and several important patient and family representatives including James Titcombe OBE, Joanne Hughes and Maureen Tuitt. This will be followed by questions and discussion with a panel of speakers and audience on the subject of “What most needs to change to empower the voice of patients in patient safety?”

Taking place at Kingsley Napley LLP, 14 St John’s Lane, London EC1M 4AJ, the event is from 6.30pm to 8pm, followed by drinks and nibbles. Tickets are free but numbers are limited so click here to reserve your place.
