Free webinar “Successful Engagement with Healthcare Providers After a Serious Incident”

Published: 25 May 2021

AvMA is working with Making Families Count, an organisation that aims to improve outcomes for families affected by serious harm and traumatic bereavements in health and social care services. Their vision is that the NHS, social care and other public bodies will make families count by ensuring that families are integral to health and social care investigations, leading to better investigations, better learning, safer services and the right support for families.

The next Making Families Count free webinar for families is on how to achieve better engagement with a healthcare provider after a serious incident or death of a loved one in their care. They have two presenters, one who will be talking through their personal story and a presentation by someone who has been successfully supporting families through the SI process (plus inquests, independent investigations and PHSO investigations), sharing her tips.

The webinar will be on the 8 June, from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. There is a limit of 30 bookings per webinar in order to ensure that everyone who attends has a chance to have their voice heard.
