Professor Branley is a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine on the Specialist Register with the General Medical Council (GMC), specialising in respiratory medicine for over 20 years, with over 10 years experience as an NHS Consultant. He sees patients with cough, wheeze, breathlessness and snoring. He has expertise in a wide variety of lung diseases particularly asthma, pneumonia, PE, lung cancer, sleep apnoea, sarcoidosis, tuberculosis (TB), and pleural disease e.g. pneumothorax and pleural effusion. Professor Branley has been writing medicolegal reports for over 10 years and underwent extensive training as an Expert Witness as part of the Cardiff University/Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Certificate program, passing all constituent elements at the first attempt. He first lectured for AVMA in 2009.
