AvMA was set up in 1982 in response to the BBC Play for Today Minor Complications. We have grown to be the leading patient safety charity in the UK, helping thousands of people every year.

Rapid response and redress scheme for severe avoidable birth injury

AvMA broadly welcomes the stated intentions of the scheme in providing an alternative to litigation in these cases and making sure there is learning for patient safety, but does have some major concerns
