We are delighted to be joined by Mr Jayaratnam (Jay) Jayamohan, Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon based at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford for a live webinar on Friday 6th June 2025 @ 10:30am discussing Perinatal issues in paediatric neurosurgery.
Over the course of the hour, Mr Jayamohan will cover:
- Injuries to the scalp, skull, brain and it’s linings, and the spinal cord
- Antenatal diagnosis of central nervous system conditions – how, when, and what happens after?
- Traumatic injury after instrumented and spontaneous delivery – immediate effects and what can we do about it?
- Post-natal problems caused by trauma at birth – natural history and treatment options
Bio:
Mr Jayamohan is a full time Consultant Paediatric Neurosurgeon. He is Clinical Lead for the service, and works alongside 3 other Consultant Colleagues at the Oxford Children’s Hospital, Oxford.
He is also a craniofacial neurosurgeon, working in one of the 4 Department of Health funded units treating patients from England and Wales.
His practice includes the full range of conditions including brain tumours, hydrocephalus, Chiari malformation, trauma, vascular malformations, spina bifida and dysraphism, and spinal tumours. Many cases will require the services of other experts including oncologists, plastic surgeons, anaesthetists.
