Janine Collier

Janine is a specialist medical negligence solicitor with over 20 years experience supporting victims of medical accidents. Every day, Janine works with clients who have, sadly, been affected by medical accidents. Janine gives her clients a voice. She helps them understand what has happened and helps clients and their families to secure financial compensation to help them positively plan for the future.

Janine has a passion for not only ensuring access to justice for those affected by medical accidents, but improving patient safety so that such accidents are minimised. She regularly engages with and speaks to Healthcare Professionals to raise awareness about the human impact of medical errors and to offer practical advice and teaching about hot topics such a Consent.

Janine has been a long standing supporter of AvMA over a number of years. She has spent 3 months on secondment with AvMA; has worked with AvMA on a number of projects and has raised funds for AvMA through running the Cambridge Half Marathon. She is delighted to have the opportunity to use her skills, expertise and passion to contribute further as a Trustee, having been appointed in March 2021.

Janine is Head of the Medical Negligence Department at Tees and sits on the Executive Board. She is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of Support4Sight, a Charity which support those with sight loss.

Janine is married, with two children, two dogs and is known to “enjoy” the odd marathon or Mud Obstacle Race.
