About our self-help guides
Our self-help guides are designed to guide you through the options available to you in relation avoidable medical harm. Written by experts, they explain procedures you might need to follow, outline your legal rights and options, and contain contact details for regulators, advice services, and other organisations which might be able to help you. We also have templates available to make it easier for you to take action.
Our core guides are also available in large print versions on request. If you need a guide to be read aloud to you, there are free accessible apps available for various web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
We’re always looking to expand our range of guides. If there is advice you would find useful which isn’t available on our site, please let us know by suggesting a topic.
About our briefings and reports
One of our key priorities is to ensure that the patient perspective is front and centre during any policy debates affecting patient safety and justice. We are uniquely positioned, given the expertise in our team and our long history of advocacy work in this space, to provide informed, patient-centred contributions to these conversations.
Some of the key ways we do this are through briefings, in-depth reports, and responses to formal consultations. Where available, you can download a document. Alternatively, to request a copy of the full document, please get in touch with us.
