Our people

Our work at Avma happens thanks to the support and expertise of our Trustees and Patron, and because of the dedication and skills of our team. Find out more about the people who make up Avma.

Our trustees

Trustees are the people responsible for leading Avma and ensuring we deliver our purpose. We benefit from the deep expertise of our trustee board. Their skills and experience cover the healthcare system in the UK, patient safety and justice issues, and practical knowledge and proficiency in governing a charity.

Our patrons

A Patron is a well-known and respected patient safety and justice advocate, ambassador and adviser chosen by our Board of Trustees. Currently we have one serving Patron, promoting and supporting our work in the wider community.

Our senior leadership team

Avma is run day-to-day by a dedicated team of staff across medico-legal, events, fundraising and communications, and operations departments. Meet our senior leadership team who manage the delivery of our work.
