Gillian Savage

Helpline Development Officer

Gillian joined AvMA in 1989. Over the years her role has evolved and grown, and so too, therefore, have the services that AvMA can offer.

It is largely down to Gillian that AvMA’s helpline exists in its current form. She is responsible for recruiting, training and supervising AvMA’s helpline volunteers and ensuring that the helpline is meeting the needs of the public.

Gillian regularly advises on the helpline and enjoys helping people who often don’t know which way to turn. She has recently taken on new responsibilities for data capture and evaluation to help direct the future of AvMA and measure its impact.

In her spare time Gillian enjoys spending time with her dog and is involved in rescuing ex-commercial chickens.
