AvMA’s statement on the planned junior doctors’ strike
January 11, 2016AvMA is disappointed and worried that negotiations between the Department of Health and the British Medical Association have broken down and junior doctors are set to go on strike. There is an obligation on both parties to come to an agreement and protect patients’ safety.

Charities call for clinical negligence “fixed costs” proposals to be put on hold
November 11, 2015Five national charities have written a joint letter to health ministers Jeremy Hunt and Ben Gummer asking them to put on hold their proposals to impose a fixed “recoverable costs regime” on clinical negligence claims.
